Society for the Advancement of Computer Science (SACS)

The Society for the Advancement of Computer Science (SACS) was formed in 2000, and its salient features include:

  • To encourage unity and consultation amongst members
  • To motivate academic excellence by offering scholastic support
  • To introduce members to technological advancements in the field of computer science, and
  • To integrate students into operational matters of the Computer Science Department.

SACS provides numerous services and opportunities for students such as tutoring, web developing and organizing workshops with companies. SACS also holds social get-togethers and outings, and is also active in holding inter-university software development competitions, quiz programs and many other exciting computer-related activities.
