Dear Participant IDEAS YES ’12 (Youth Entrepreneurial Summit)
Entrepreneurship is perhaps a combination of creativity, far-sightedness, high intellect and bravery. It is extremely commendable that in a span of one semester (approx. 4 months) the instructor and the student of the entrepreneurship course at University of Central Punjab have embarked upon such a major event involving business plans, advertising campaigns and other initiatives. This effort, coupled with their commitment in other courses during the semester speaks volumes of their capacity to take their learning of entrepreneurship concepts and tools to a much greater level through this hand-on project.
This platform of IDEAS YES ’12 (Youth Entrepreneurship Summit) is a spring-board for not only the students learning and level of interest but is a tremendous vehicle to boost the image of this institution.
I understand that the whole campaign is conceived, financed and executed by the budding entrepreneurs (the student) a live example of entrepreneurship in action.
As Pro-Rector of University of Central Punjab, I also feel extremely proud because of the fact that this is the seventh YES event since June 2010. This is a demonstration of resourcefulness, hard work and zeal. I am confident that this event will draw energy as well as synergy that will make this event an example success.
I would like to congratulate all involved in this event for their competence and very much hope that the exposure will be a singular contribution to their professional and personal development.
You all have a bright spark and one day you will make your mark.

Mission Statement
IDEAS "The Rising Spirit", a student society at UCP, is dedicated to encourage the practice of Entrepreneurship among its members and other students through academic activities. The society also serves the powerful force of good in the greater community by encouraging and organizing events fostering a better world. This platform of IDEAS has proven to be a spring board for not only the students learning but a tremendous vehicle to boost the image of our University among other Business organizations.
OVER VIEW
With the aim of promoting a culture that fosters development of young leaders and entrepreneurs, IDEAS “The Rising Spirit”, at the University of Central Punjab is working under Faculty of Management Studies effectively for the last three years by providing a platform to students to experiment their creativity and to polish their entrepreneurial skills.
IDEAS’ has directed all its efforts in helping the immature entrepreneurs and leaders to foresee their vision and determine the right path. IDEAS in the last three years has successfully organized Ad galas, business plan competition, marketing week, industrial trips, brand wars, reflection and tours, conferences, seminars and workshops inside and outside the University. IDEAS’ also has a well established project and case study bank that facilitates the students in developing or launching a business plan.
University of Central Punjab, espousing its mission of providing quality education to the youth, focuses not only on imparting knowledge to youngsters but developing professionals who can make significant contribution to society in the fields they aspire to enter. We believe in continuous learning and preparing our youth to face future global challenges. |
