The Annual Job Carnival-2006 of University of Central Punjab was held on Saturday, 18 th of March, 2006 at PCBA-PICS Campus located at 31-Main Gulberg, Lahore.

The Carnival was inaugurated by Honorable Mian Amer Mahmood, Chairman Punjab Group of Colleges at 10:00 A.M. The Chairman took a tour of the campus and met representatives of participant organizations.
The closing ceremony was held at 6:00 P.M at UCP-Hall, PCBA-PICS Campus. The Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecom, Mr. Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Mr. Leghari inspected the company booths and applauded the presence of UCP Alumni among the most prestigious organizations and employers. He was accompanied by the Chairman PGC Mian Amer Mahmood, Execuetive Director PGC Prof. Sohail Afzal, Pro-Rector UCP Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhry, Executive Director P & C, Dr. Ejaz A. Qureshi, Deans, Associate Deans and Members of various faculties of UCP.
The Director Job Placement, Zaeem Yaqoob Khan presented the Annual promotion and placement report to the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion the Minister admired the efforts of UCP Promotion and Placement Bureau and declared the initiatives in sync with Government’s vision to encourage Academia – Industry relationship.The honorable minister also distributed souvenirs among the participant organizations.
