Distinction of UCP Students

The University of Central Punjab offers a highly conducive research environment, progressively growing as a distinctive culture, an evidence of which is the acceptance of its students’ research papers for presentation and publication in the international conferences.

Natash A. Mian’s paper "Database Reverse Engineering Tools" shall be presented at the 7^th International Conference on Software Engineering, Parallel and Distributed Systems (SEPADS ’08), at University of Cambridge, UK to be held from 20-22 February 2008. Natash is the first PhD Student at the IT Faculty of UCP and has the distinction of having one international publication as a part of his PhD work.

The paper on "Autonomic Computing in SQL Server" by Abdul Mateen and his co-author Basit Raza shall be presented at 7^th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS’08), Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. to be held from May 14-16, 2008. The proceedings of this conference are to be published by IEEE Computer Society. It should be noted that Abdul Mateen and Basit Raza are MS students at UCP. Another paper by these authors "Autonomicity in Oracle Database Management System" has been accepted for presentation and publication by IADIS International Conference Applied Computing to be held in Algarve, Portugal, from April 10-13, 2008.

All these students have worked under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tauqeer Hussain at the University of Central Punjab (UCP).
