“Men seek for vocabularies that are reflections of reality. To this end, they must develop vocabularies that are selections of reality. The eye that captures the essence of life in truth and imagination holds the affections of reality. Be it reflections, selections or affections, it all on a whole, mentions reality.”
Kenneth Burke
