UCP cherishes linkages between academia and industry...

Collaboration with Academic Institutions

Prior to the establishment of the University of Central Punjab had signed a number of memoranda of understanding with the renowned institutions of Asia, Europe and the United States of America, including the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), New Mexico State University (NMSU), Hawaii Pacific University (HPU), and The Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration (HSEBA). These memoranda enabled the students to carry out a part of the studies at UCP and subsequently transfer their credits to the foreign universities for completing the remaining part of their degrees. With the passage of time collaborative arrangements were made with Michigan Technological University, USA; New Mexico State University, USA; Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland; and Stow College, Glasgow,The UK, for transfer of credits, development.

Collaboration with Industry

UCP highly values linkages between academia and industry. To realize this vision, it has entered into collaborations with renowned research and development companies. UCP has collaboration with the Ghost Software, UK, for human resource development in telephony and VoIP, recruitment of UCP students and promotion of research facilities. An MOU between UCP and Lahore Chamber of curricula, faculty development and collaborative research.

A number of delegations from various parts of Asia and Europe have recently visited UCP for working out long-term linkages and fostering closer academic and cultural interaction. Memoranda of Understanding with Girne American University, Northern Cyprus, Turkey, University of East London, The UK, UCLAN, UK, Middlesex University, UK, Sheffield Hallam University, UK, Suleyman Sah University, Turkey, GDANSK Foundation for Management Development, Turkey, Abu Dhabi University, UAE, The Faculty of Pharmacy and Alternative Medicines, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Bradfordshire University, UK have been signed.

Commerce and Industries provides for human resource development, funding for research and internship and on-the-job training to UCP students.

UCP has also signed an MOU with Akhuwat, Business Support Fund (BSF), SMEDA, Lahore Stock Exchange and Care Foundation. Recently an MoU has been signed with Meezan Bank Ltd.
