Introduction to the Department of Economics

Department of Economics

The Department of Economics is offering a BS(Hons) Economics & Finance program starting from the fall semester 2011. The aim of this newly introduced program is to enhance the skills and analytical abilities of our students and enable them to meet the challenges of business, government and nonprofit organizations.  The program is designed to study globalization, welfare reforms, environmental problems, health, education and urban-rural economic issues. It will provide openings to the students for careers in banking/financial services, international business, public sector, international organizations, NGOs, academia and entrepreneurial ventures, etc.
