Drs. Ghulame Rubbaniy
Drs. Ghulame Rubbaniy has joined UCP Business School as assistant professor; he has submitted his final PhD thesis to Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands and waiting for his PhD defense. He did his MSc in Economics and Finance of Pensions and Ageing from Tilburg University, Tilburg, Netherlands and also holds an MSc in Statistics form University of Agriculture Faisalabad. His bucket of capabilities comprises of teaching experience at Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands, GC University Faisalabad and an international research experience of conducting and supervision of more than fifteen MPhil level research projects/theses at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Dutch Central Bank (DNB). He has won a few travel grants and enjoys a rich experience of research presentations at major finance conferences and associations including, Australian Banking and Finance conferences Australia, Pennsylvanian Economic Association the US, NetSpar the Netherlands, Multinational Finance Association Italy, Portuguese Finance Association Portugal, Brunel Business School the UK and ERIM. His PhD work is on “Performance and investment behavior of institutional investors’ but has done research in the areas of metals and commodity investments, forecasting market returns using fear indices, calendar anomalies, market commonalities, capital structure, portfolio optimization using alternative investments, crisis and inflation hedging, Pension Funds, Mutual Funds and market reaction to open market share repurchase. Currently he is teaching Financial Econometrics, International Finance, Asset Pricing Theory, Portfolio Management and Corporate Finance at the University of Central Punjab.

Dr. Abdul Waheed
Dr. Abdul Waheed is assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management Studies of the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He obtained his PhD degree from United Nation University (UNU-MERIT) and School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He also earned MSc in Econometrics from Tilburg School of Economics and Management of Tilburg University, the Netherlands and MSc in Statistics form Punjab University, Pakistan. He has 13 years of teaching and research experience in various national and international organizations.  Abdul Waheed presented his research contributions in many national and international conferences such as International Symposium on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Venice, Italy, DRUID Society Conference at Copenhagen Business School, Copenhagen, Denmark, WASET Conference on Innovation, Management, and Technology, Zurich, Switzerland, 27th Annual General Meeting and Conference, Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Dr. Waleed Bin Azhar
Dr. Waleed Bin Azhar has a distinguished career spanning two decades in corporate sector. Before joining UCP Business School, University of Central Punjab, he was Chief Operating Officer of Fatimid Foundation, the largest blood transfusion service in non government sector in Pakistan. He is a graduate from King Edward Medical College, Lahore and received his masters in business administration with concentration in finance from Barney School of Business, University of Hartford, Connecticut, United States of America in 1989. He is a founder member of Fatimid Inc., an NGO registered in USA and working for the cause of thalassaemia and haemophilia world over. He is also a member of the advisory committee of Punjab Thalassaemia Prevention Programme, Government of the Punjab. He is co-author of the following research articles:

  1. Carrier detection for beta thalassemia trait in general Pakistani population: a way forward.
  2. Clinical audit of inherited bleeding disorder in a developing country.

Mr. Arjmand Chatha
Mr. Arjmand Chatha is currently serving UCP as a lecturer in the Faculty of Management Studies. He did his MSc (with Distinction) in International Business Management from Nottingham Trent University, UK. He is also having MSc degree in Economics and Finance (with Merit) from the University of Bradford, UK and a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Punjab, Lahore. Besides teaching, Mr. Chatha is having two years of professional experience as a Business Development Analyst in Dublin, Ireland. He has also worked for Marks and Spencer Plc, UK as a Coach/Trainer for about five years.

Asif Bashir
I have done Masters in Business Administration from University of Central Punjab with specialization in finance. I have been serving UCP for last eight years in different capacities .I have been teaching courses of Accounting and finance at UCP. I worked as head of Accounting department, program director of MBA at UCP. Currently, I am serving as Assistant Professor in Division of Business Economics and Finance and as  Coordinator of evening program at UCP Business School. I have also completed my course work of MS in Finance and currently working on my research thesis. My area of research is behavioral Finance.

Hafiz Musaddiq Ahmed
Hafiz Musaddiq Ahmed Khan is currently serving in UCP as a Lecturer. He is a Level 3 CFA Candidate  (CFA Institute, USA). He is also Licensed International Financial Analyst (LIFA) Charter holder of International Research Association (IRA), USA. He got his MBA degree from Lahore School of Economics and Masters in Economics from University of the Punjab. He is an Old Ravian. Before joining UCP, he worked as an Economist and Financial Analyst in National Engineering Services Pakistan, Pvt. Ltd. (NESPAK House). There he was responsible for assisting in making feasibility reports of different projects undertaken by NESPAK House. Presently he is fully involved in teaching Finance courses to the students of BBA and MBA Program as well as providing project advisory to the students.

Kashif Butt
Kashif Butt is currently serving UCP as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Management Studies. In the past he has been the Head of Accounting and is now the Team Leader of Accounting. Kashif was born and raised in Canada and settled in Pakistan in late 2005. Kashif currently holds two professional designations. He is a CIA (Certified Internal Auditor – Canada) and a CPA (Inactive) (Certified Public Accountant – USA). He has a background in external auditing with experience both in Canada and the US. As well, he ran an accounting business for small businesses in various different industries. He currently teaches both Financial and Managerial Accounting.

Khalil Ahmad Rao
Khalil Ahmad Rao is serving as Associate Professor and Director MBA, Banking and Finance Program at UCP (Business School). He holds Master’s degree in Economics from Government College Lahore and is also a Law graduate.  He has obtained certification from American Institute of Banking, New York, USA, which is accredited with Pace University New York. Khalil Rao  is blessed with diversified and rich experience in the fields of Domestic and International banking , Legal consultancy/Practice and teaching. Before joining UCP he served banking sector in Pakistan as well in United States for more than two decades. His ‘TV Lectures’ for three MBA courses recorded by Virtual University of Pakistan are regularly telecast by VUTV.  He has supervised Research Projects of MBA on topics of practical significance including Efficacy of Pakistan’s Anti Money Laundering Regime in Banking Sector, Non Performing Loans of banks. He has been teaching various courses at MBA level including International Banking and Trade, Legal Environment of Banking, Corporate and Business Law, Banking Laws and Practices and Taxation Management. . He is member of various professional bodies.

Muhammad Nadeem
Muhammad Nadeem has earned his MS Finance from University of Wales UK and MBA from University of Management and Technology Lahore with specialization in finance. He joined UCP as lecturer in Faculty of Management Studies in spring 2011. Besides teaching he has also served as advisor to students and member of various committees.

Muhammad Umar Farooq
Muhammad Umar Farooq is currently serving at UCP as a lecturer in the Faculty of Management Studies. He did his MSc in Economic Management and Policy from University of Strathclyde Glasgow, UK. He is also having a MBA degree in Finance from Comsats. Previously Mr. Umar has worked in Comsats as Lecturer for two years. Besides teaching Mr. Umar has professional experience of two years as Finance Executive in Ufone Islamabad.

Mustehsan Abbas
Mustehsan Abbas did his bachelors in Accounting and Finance from University of Essex, Uk. He also holds a master's degree in Finance and Management from the same british university. Earlier he got his GCE 'A' Levels and GCSE 'O' Levels certificates from Lahore. He is a Lecturer of Finance in our Business School since Fall 2011.

Salman Misbah khan
Salman Misbah khan is a well renowned trainer and academician. He did his MBA in finance from Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Peshawar. Before this he did his B.Com from University of Karachi with distinction. He is currently working as lecturer in faculty of management studies, UCP-Business School and is enrolled in the MS Management program of UCP. His area of interest is in finance and HR management.

Kanwal Zahra
Kanwal Zahra is doing her PhD in Economics from GC University Lahore after attaining M Phil degree in Economics from Department of Economics, GC University Lahore.  She has a eight years teaching experience of Macro Economics and Development Economics and Urban Economic. She was also associated with Government of the Punjab and has an experience to work in different development projects of international donor agencies as an economist. She also has research publications in national and international journals. Her area of research is international economics, urban economics, governance, inequality and social exclusion.

Eeshah Ahmad Tariq
Eeshah Ahmad Tariq joined UCP in 2011 and is currently serving as a Lecturer in Finance (Faculty of Management Sciences). Eeshah holds a Masters degree in Finance from Manchester Business School. Prior to proceeding for her postgraduate studies, she successfully completed BSc (Hons) Economics and Management (University of London External Program) from UCL. During her stay at Manchester Business School she carried out research on the “Analysis of the Equilibrium of the Japanese Exchange Rate wherein co-integration was used to calculate the equilibrium rate using the Behavioral Equilibrium Exchange Rate Technique, Undervaluation claims were also evaluated along discussion on possible future policies. Eeshah’s research interests include International Finance, Global Capital Markets and Asset Pricing.
