Welcome to the automated wireless registration service. You cannot use your wireless card until it has been registered for use on the UCP network. To register the card, fill out the form below. Due to security concerns, emails from non-UCP mail accounts will not be considered for registration.
The adapter (MAC) address can usually be found on the underside of the card, and consists of a combination of 12 digits and letters (A-F only) and is usually in one of the following formats: xxxxxxxxxxxx, xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx, or xxxx.xxxx.xxxx. The MAC address is sometimes referred to as the "Physical" address.
If you have problems discerning the MAC address, you can acquire it by going to your Start Menu and then going to "Run". Type out "cmd" for Windows 2000 or XP or "command" for other Windows operating systems and hit "Ok" or press the enter key. This should bring up a DOS window. At the prompt, enter "ipconfig /all" (without the quotes). This will bring up the networking information for your computer. Look for the section that says "Description". There may be more than one section with a description heading. In the correct description area it should mention the word "wireless". Right below the description there will be a heading labeled "Physical Address". This is MAC address that needs to be entered in the form below.
If the automated wireless registration service fails, your wireless device should be registered within one business day.
Configuration:Once registered, you need to start the configuration software specific to your wireless card and create a new profile. The SSID or Wireless Network Name should be entered as pcba. This entry is case-sensitive.
Save these settings and reboot your system.
