Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization highlighted BioHealthion, a faculty-led startup established through the scientific expertise, research excellence, and entrepreneurial efforts of UCP faculty members. The startup is led by Dr. Huma Hameed, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, as Principal Investigator, in collaboration with Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Professor, Faculty of Science and Technology, as Co-Principal Investigator. The initiative is supported by UCP under the Internal Research Grant Program (IRGP). Through evaluation of commercially available nutraceutical products and evidence-based formulation development, the team developed a portfolio of health and wellness products designed to meet consumer needs while maintaining quality standards. During the commercialization process, Takhleeq facilitated the initial launch through the Healthwire platform, enabling product availability across Healthwire pharmacies. All products are manufactured through DRAP-registered facilities and developed in accordance with applicable quality and regulatory standards.
