Dr. Zinayyera Subhani has received her MSc in the field of Biochemistry from University of Lahore, Lahore in 2008 and MPhil from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology and won merit Scholarship during her MPhil studies 2009-2011.
She has accomplished her PhD degree in 2018 from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. During her PhD, she was awarded HEC indigenous Scholarship. During her Doctoral studies, she has visited University of Minnesota, USA on IRSIP sponsored by HEC, Islamabad. She was also awarded MEXT Government Scholarship, for IPSR training course, Okayama University Japan. She got her Academic Certificate of ISCLC, Henan University Kaifeng, Henan, P.R. China in 2018. Afterwards, she worked as an Assistant Professor (IPFP) at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Jhang Campus from February 2019 to February 2020. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Central Punjab, Lahore, from October 2020 to date.
Dr. Zinayyera primary research interests are centred around the role of bioactive from diverse natural reservoirs to ameliorate the toxic effects of the potentially ingested drugs/toxins. She characterized different aflatoxin detoxifier/binder from diverse natural reservoir and reported their efficacy in poultry. Dr. Zinayyera has authored/ co-authored more than 10 journal articles. Her research areas of interest include:

  • Exploration of medicinal plants for their bioactive compounds
  • Gums and their interactive binding capacity with toxins
  • Metabolic disorders and associated clinical biochemistry
  • Aflatoxins and their bioremediation through naturally occurring detoxifiers
