University of Central Punjab held its 26th Board of Advanced Studies & Research (BAS&R) meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Pro-Rector, Dr. Hammad Naveed chaired the meeting in the presence of the senior academic team and external experts. The external experts Prof. Dr. Arif Mahmood (Dean Faculty of Sciences Department of Computer Sciences, ITU, Lahore) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Usman Ghani Khan (Professor at Department of Computer Sciences, UET Main Campus, Lahore.) specially graced the meeting. They appreciated the expeditious efforts of UCP in the promotion of quality Education.
Faculty of Media and Mass Communication’s 4 MS/M.Phil and 1 PhD, Faculty of Engineering’s 4 MS/M.Phil and 2 PhD, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences 16 MS/M.Phil, Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science’s 10 MS/M.Phil, Faculty of Language and Literature’s 4 MS/M.Phil, Faculty of Management Sciences 8 MS/M.Phil and 2 PhD, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences 6 MS/M.Phil and Faculty of Science and Technology 51 MS/M.Phil and 2 PhD cases were approved for award of degrees.
Registrar, Director Academics, Deans, heads of departments, and other relevant Officials were also present in the meeting. The Pro-Rector expressed profound appreciation for the exceptional efforts demonstrated by the Graduate Studies Office (GSO), acknowledging their significant contributions and dedication to excellence. The board members also shared valuable suggestions with the Pro-Rector for future research work.
