Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science and Technology, organized a workshop for research students of BS, MS and PhD programs titled “The 2nd Hands-on Training of Research Techniques – From Theory to Practice” on October 10, 2024, under the supervision of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh.
Dr. Aatif Amin, Head of Department-Microbiology, outlined the objectives of the training and emphasized the importance of learning software tools such as SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and RevMan. The resource persons, Dr. Namrah Anwar provided an overview of data types and conducted hands-on training of SPSS software, while Dr. Naila Noureen led practical sessions on RevMan, a software used for meta-analysis.
The workshop concluded with a ceremony attended by the respected Dean and Head of the Biotechnology Department, Dr. Muhammad Naveed, who distributed certificates to the participants.
