Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) conducted a Zero Evaluation Visit at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) to assess two allied health programs, BS Medical Laboratory Technology (BS-MLT) offered by the Department of Microbiology, led by Dr. Aatif Amin, and BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics (BS-HND) offered by the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, headed by Dr. Kanza Aziz Awan. Both departments operate under the umbrella of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FOST), UCP.
The AHPC delegation was warmly welcomed by Pro-Rector Dr. Hammad Naveed, who provided an overview of the facilities and academic resources available to the BS-MLT and BS-HND programs. The Dean FOST, Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, gave a detailed presentation on both programs and assured the AHPC team that their guidelines are being fully implemented to ensure graduates are well-prepared and professionally competent.
The visit was successfully coordinated with the support of UCP’s International Office, Office of the Registrar, ORIC, and Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC). The AHPC delegation recommended minor improvements, which will be addressed and ensured before their next visit.
