Volunteers in Service department and UCP-Welfare Society in collaboration with Autism Resource Centre Lahore (ARCL) and Alkhidmat Foundation celebrated Autism Pride Day on August 17, 2024. Autism is a neuro-developmental disorder that has no treatment but can be managed. Children born with Autism get educated in special schools and institutes.
In an attempt to show the world that these kids are able to spend an independent life and can become useful citizens of our country, ARCL is working to make life easier for autistic kids and their parents. They are not disabled but differently-abled. The kids performed various activities on stage and were very energetic, making their parents happy and proud.
Certificates were distributed among UCP-Welfare Society’s members for their exceptional performance in organizing this hard to handle event.
