BS Microbiology students from UCP visited the National Agricultural Research Council (NARC) in Islamabad under the supervision of Dr. Mohsin Gulzar Barq, Faculty Industry Liaison Officer, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science and Technology, UCP. Students gained exposure to the country’s top scientific research institutes in agricultural and environmental microbiology, where they learned about:
Food Sciences Research Institute (FSRI): Food quality testing and preservation techniques.
National Institute of Genomics & Advanced Biotechnology (NIGAB): DNA sequencing and genetic engineering.
Honeybee Research Institute (HBRI): Apiculture and honey production.
Bio Resources Conservation Institute (BCI): Microbial, plant, and animal genetic resources.
