The Faculty of Science and Technology (FOST), in partnership with the Learning Innovation Centre (LIC), successfully held its second capacity-building session on January 8, 2025. The session, titled “Interactive Teaching-BOPPS Model,” aimed to help faculty members enhance their teaching skills and engage students more effectively.
Dr. Atif Ashraf, Head of the Department at the Faculty of Media and Mass Communication (FMMC), led the session. He introduced FOST faculty to the BOPPS Model, a structured approach designed to involve students actively in the learning process through innovative teaching techniques.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Dean of FOST, emphasized the importance of such training programs for improving teaching quality and student learning experiences. This session is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support faculty development and align teaching practices with modern educational standards.
These capacity-building sessions add value by fostering more interactive and engaging classrooms, improving student participation, and enhancing overall learning outcomes. They also equip faculty with effective strategies to adapt to the evolving needs of students in today’s educational environment
