Faculty of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Climate Change Research Council (CCRC), successfully hosted an international seminar titled “Co-designing Precision Agriculture and Technology Policy” with Agricultural Stakeholders.
The seminar, held on December 2, 2024, featured Dr. Maaz Gardezi, an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech, USA. Dr. Gardezi engaged the audience with his inspiring ideas on how climate change, new digital technologies, and social issues impact agriculture. He highlighted the need for sustainable and fair food systems and shared innovative ways to develop precision agriculture policies with input from farmers and other stakeholders. The event offered a valuable opportunity for discussions about the important role of technology and policies in tackling global agricultural challenges.
The seminar was concluded by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology, who reaffirmed UCP’s commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and research collaboration in addressing global challenges.
