Students of BS Human Nutrition, 5th semester, participated in a two-day workshop on “Hospital Food Service” organized in collaboration with the Rainbow Obesity and Eating Disorder Center at Hameed Latif Hospital, Lahore, under the supervision of Ms. Fatima Shahid. The workshop offered students valuable practical exposure to hospital food service operations, including ward visits, patient diet management, and interaction with professional dietitians. They also engaged in hands-on activities such as hospital tray setting and meal tasting to better understand nutritional, sensory, and hygienic aspects of hospital meal preparation and distribution. This experiential training enabled students to connect classroom learning with real-world clinical practice, deepening their appreciation for the vital role dietitians play in patient nutrition and recovery.
