Dr. Muhammad Babur, Associate Professor, Civil Engineering Department, was invited to deliver lectures at the Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Engineering (CEWRE), University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore. The lectures were conducted as a part of the “Sediment Transport and River Engineering” course for MS and PhD scholars, under the coordination of Dr. Amjad Masood, Assistant Professor at CEWRE. Dr. Babur presented detailed sessions on topics such as the effects of climate and land use changes on water inflows and hydropower production—highlighted through a case study of Mangla Reservoir. He also discussed the use of SWAT model for forecasting soil erosion and sediment yield, along with essential principles of river engineering. The lectures were well received by faculty members and postgraduate students.
