Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) organized a course titled “Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Startup Launch” in the Takhleeq Business Incubator. The session commenced with a brief overview of the course by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, on the importance of entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and market-driven skills for aspiring business leaders. Mr. Yaser Amir Awan, Director Research and Innovation, Takhleeq, delivered a talk on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial mindset, and startup culture in Pakistan, guiding participants through the problems faced by new start-ups. This was followed by a lecture by Muhammad Javed Afzal, Regional Chief, SMEDA, who discussed exploring entrepreneurship as a career option and inspired participants to pursue innovative ventures and turn ideas into business opportunities. The rest of the summer course equipped participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools required to launch successful startups.
