The Faculty of Media and Mass Communication (FMMC) organized an industrial visit for BS (Media & Communication Studies) students to Dunya News and Lahore News. The visit, supervised by Ms. Shahpara Salim (Visiting Faculty), began with an introduction to the media operations of Dunya Group. The HR Manager at Dunya News provided an overview of key departments, including the News Control Room, PCR, News Studios, Programming Department, show sets, and DSNG operations. Students had the opportunity to interact with media professionals and gain valuable industry insights. As a gesture of appreciation, Ms. Shahpara Salim presented a UCP souvenir to Mr. Tasneem Arif, Chief Operating Officer at Dunya News. This visit allowed students to see firsthand the inner workings of media houses, fostering a deeper understanding of the industry. It also provided networking opportunities with professionals, enhancing the students’ learning experience.
