The Faculty of Science & Technology (FOST) at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) has launched its Foreign Lecture Series, focusing on a key environmental issue: Air Pollution and Its Impact on Health.
The session began with a welcoming address from Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, the Dean of FOST. He emphasized the importance of tackling environmental problems through collaboration and shared knowledge. He also expressed gratitude to Dr. Haider A. Khwaja from the University at Albany, USA, for his valuable contribution to the Faculty Exchange Program and his participation in this important initiative.
Dr. Khwaja delivered the first lecture on December 30, 2024, to students from the Human Nutrition and Dietetics (Section AH1) and Biotechnology (Section AT1) classes. His lecture focused on the crucial connection between air pollution and public health, presenting cutting-edge research and innovative solutions to this global problem.
This Foreign Lecture Series is part of FOST’s broader effort to bring international expertise into its academic programs. It aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to address both local and global challenges.
