Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) in collaboration with Faculty of Science and Technology (FOST) conducted a visit to Rana Rice Mills under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh. This visit was part of an initiative aimed to strengthen industry-academia linkages and to enhance the quality of rice for the international market. On-site experimentation was performed to evaluate aflatoxin and pesticide issues in rice. The scientific team toured processing facilities and engaged with industrial partners to explore practical solutions aimed at ensuring the compliance of rice products with international export requirements. The support of Prof. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Dean FOST, facilitated this engagement and promoted a culture of research-driven industrial collaboration.
