Learning Innovation Centre organized a training workshop titled “GenAI Training for University Staff to Enable Efficient Workflows.” Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC & Research conducted the session.
The workshop covered a comprehensive introduction to generative AI, its opportunities, limitations, and ethical use in learning and professional settings. Critical pain points such as misuse of AI, academic dishonesty, and over-reliance on automated tools were discussed, along with practical strategies to use AI responsibly without cheating. Participants were trained in the effective use of GenAI tools for writing, teaching, grammar checking, paraphrasing, note-making, and question development. The session also addressed AI detection concerns, prompt design, and templates to enhance efficiency across different university offices. The workshop concluded with ethical frameworks for GenAI adoption.
