The Health & Pharmacy Club, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in collaboration with the Punjab AIDS Control Program, Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department, Government of Pakistan, organized a one-day HIV/AIDS Awareness Seminar and Poster Competition at the University of Central Punjab on 17th December 2024.
The seminar aimed to educate attendees about HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and support. Experts shared the latest information, debunked myths, and emphasized the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS to foster a healthier and more inclusive society.
Dr. Fatima Saeed, Incharge of the Punjab AIDS Control Program at Services Hospital Lahore, and Mr. Shoaib Akram, Communication Officer for the Punjab AIDS Control Program, were the guest speakers. They provided valuable insights into the challenges and solutions in addressing HIV/AIDS in Pakistan.
The Poster Competition was a creative initiative to highlight social causes through art. Students designed impactful posters to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, effectively conveying important messages to the community and showcasing their dedication to meaningful change.
