Following the successful “Workshop on Reuse of Materials” organized by the Volunteers in Service, the group of trained student volunteers has now passed on their knowledge to IBTIDA scholars in a hands-on vocational training session under Volunteers in Service department. In this follow-up activity, IBTIDA students learned how to repurpose old newspapers into practical and eco-friendly paper bags, including grocery and gift bags. This initiative aimed not only to promote environmental consciousness but also to equip these young learners with a sustainable skill that can contribute to their livelihood. This session reflected VIS Department’s ongoing commitment to skill development, creativity, and community empowerment. By turning waste into a resource, both volunteers and IBTIDA students became part of a broader movement toward sustainability and self-reliance. This activity aligns with SDG#1 No Poverty, SDG#4 Quality Education (especially Target 4.7), SDG#11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SGD#12 Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG#13 Climate Action.
