The University of Central Punjab hosted an insightful industry–academia session, organized by the Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Science & Technology, in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC).
The session, held on August 13, 2025, featured Mr. Shahid Ali Mahmood, Manager RSL at TTI Testing Laboratories, a distinguished professional with over three decades of experience. Participants gained in-depth knowledge of advanced analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, and GC-MS/MS, along with practical insights on operational protocols, industrial applications, and their significance in modern laboratories.
In his closing remarks, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Head of Department and Director ORIC, commended the guest speaker’s contribution and encouraged students to actively pursue hands-on industrial and instrumental training, aiming to become impactful researchers.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Muhammad Perviaz, Associate Professor, and Mr. Usman Idrees, Lecturer.
