International Colloquium on World Food Safety Day 2025

In celebration of World Food Safety Day, Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences hosted an international conference titled “Food Safety: Science in Action.” The keynote speaker was Mr. Shahid Hafeez Khan, Application & Technical Support Manager, Tate & Lyle (for Pakistan and Iran), who shared information on sustainable ingredients and clean-label trends in the food industry. The event began with remarks by Dr. Kanza Aziz Awan, Head of Department, FNS, on the importance of food safety and sustainability. Prof. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Dean, FoST, delivered the closing speech, thanking the speaker, organizing team, and attendees. This session provided students with the opportunity to learn about food safety issues in the real world.
