Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization convened its 21st Meeting of the Steering Committee attended by distinguished industrial and academic experts. Director ORIC , Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh presented the agenda and shared a comprehensive overview of ORIC’s recent progress and future directions, emphasizing the importance of fostering innovation, commercialization, and sustainable academia-industry collaborations.
The committee reviewed and endorsed key items, including the approval of the UCP-ORIC Five-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2029), aimed at advancing research excellence and entrepreneurial growth at UCP. Deliberations also focused on industrial collaborations, internship opportunities for students, and the initiation of joint projects with industry partners to strengthen knowledge transfer and applied research.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of ORIC’s commitment to nurturing a dynamic research culture, strengthening academia-industry linkages, and creating opportunities for faculty and students to engage in innovative and impactful research.
