Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization held its 23rd Steering Committee Meeting. Chaired by Dr. Hammad Naveed, Pro-Rector, the meeting brought together university leadership, industry representatives, and ORIC officials to review ORIC’s performance in line with the HEC ORIC Policy 2021. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, presented a comprehensive overview of activities for November–December 2025, highlighting progress in research publications, UCP journals, national and international grants, intellectual property filings, commercialization, industry–academia collaboration, entrepreneurship initiatives, GenAI capacity-building, and international engagement. The committee appreciated ORIC’s achievements, endorsed upcoming initiatives including the ORIC Annual Report 2025 and a Generative AI training program scheduled for January 2026, and offered strategic recommendations to further strengthen UCP’s innovation ecosystem.
