UCP Voltaire Society in collaboration with the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a guest lecture on “Peace in South Asia Challenges and Mission” on December 5, 2024. Speaker, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, a renowned scholar, prolific author and Professor Emeritus at Stockholm University, Sweden, delivered an insightful lecture on the topic. The lecture was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where students posed thought-provoking and interesting questions, to which Dr. Ahmed responded comprehensively. Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt, Dean, FOHSS extended gratitude to Dr. Ahmed for his valuable time and for sharing his profound knowledge, enriching the academic experience of the students. The event concluded with the presentation of a UCP souvenir to the guest.
