Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology was honored as the Chief Guest at the 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Interdisciplinary Sciences (ICRAIS), hosted by the Department of Chemistry, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) from December 4–6, 2024.
Dr. Farrukh also delivered an insightful plenary talk titled “Sustainable Graphene-Based Nanomaterials for Environmental Solutions,” emphasizing the role of advanced nanotechnology in addressing pressing environmental challenges. His presentation highlighted innovative approaches to the synthesis, application, and potential scalability of graphene-based materials for environmental remediation and sustainability. Dr. Farrukh also engaged with faculty and students at GCWUF, encouraging young researchers to pursue innovation in scientific research and explore sustainable solutions to global challenges. He emphasized the commercial products being developed at UCP under the guidance of Pro-Rector, Dr. Hammad Naveed, particularly in the area of wastewater treatment. These initiatives aim to enhance academic-industrial collaborations while advancing interdisciplinary research for the betterment of society.
