Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry organized an international seminar, titled “Recent Development of Alpha-Glucosidase Inhibitors for the Management of Type II Diabetes.” The session featured distinguished guest Prof. Dr. Shamsun Nahar Khan from East West University, Dhaka, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, USA, who shared critical insights into the biochemical mechanisms and global pharmaceutical developments of Alpha-Glucosidase inhibitors. Inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Head of the Department, the seminar provided faculty and students a valuable platform to engage with cutting-edge research in medicinal chemistry, while Prof. Dr. Khan was honored with a commemorative shield for her contributions to the field.
