Faculty of Law organized a comprehensive information session on ‘Environmental Law in Pakistan: A Panoramic View in collaboration and participation from Climate Change Research Council (CCRC) on August 29, 2024.
The event brought together legal professionals, environmentalists, scientists, Researchers and academics to explore the complexities of environmental laws in Pakistan and Globally. Dr. Pervez Hassan, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, discussed and provided a broad understanding of Pakistan’s legal framework for environmental protection, focusing on key legislations like the Pakistan Environmental Protection Act (PEPA) 1997. It also addressed the challenges in implementing these laws and discussed opportunities for future development in the field.
