Space Camp 2025 took off today with the theme “Design, Build, and Launch Your First Satellite.” The camp is being organized in collaboration with SUPARCO’s RESOLVE program and the Space Research Centre (SRC).
The opening ceremony brought together academic and industry leaders, including Muhammad Yaqoob (Provost, UCP), Dr. Muhammad Waseem (Director RESOLVE – SUPARCO), Dr. Rizwan Shad (Dean FOE – UCP), and Dr. M. Kamran Saleem (Director – SRC). SUPARCO dignitaries Farhan A. Chudhery (Acting DG), Dr. Amir Gillani (Deputy DG), and Dr. Akhyar Farukh (Director ORIC – UCP) also joined to show their support.
On the first day, participants got an introduction to satellite subsystems—covering power, communication, and payload—before moving on to hands-on work with EYASSAT kits. By assembling and testing parts of a satellite themselves, students experienced space science in action.
