The University of Central Punjab clinched the All Pakistan Inter University Swimming Championship 2024-25, organized under the umbrella of the Prime Minister’s University Sports Olympiad. This event was held at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad, hosted by Agriculture University Faisalabad.
UCP students showcased their athletic competence and capabilities by sweeping 18 out of 19 gold medals. Ayan Asif and Sameer Asif emerged as standout performers, setting new records. Sameer Asif won 7 gold medals and set one new record, proving to be a shining athlete and providing a perfect exhibition of fitness and sportsmanship.
Dr. Mukhtar, Chairman of HEC, graced the closing ceremony and acknowledged the remarkable efforts of the swimmers.
The consistent success of UCP students in sports championships and their ability to bag medals every time is a testament to the emphasis placed on sports at UCP.
