Following the signing of the MoU with Pakistan International Printers (PIP), Mr. Muhammad Qasim Mughal, Assistant Professor of Practice, and Mr. Mustafa Hanan, FILO, organized a visit to PIP. The UCP delegation was led by Dr. Hammad Naveed, Pro-Rector UCP, accompanied by Dr. Muhammad Athar Siddiqui, Dr. Rizwan Shad, Mr. Yaser Amir Awan, and faculty members from the Supply Chain, Engineering, and Management Sciences departments. The visit, hosted by Mr. Saad Haleem Khan (MD, PIP), Mrs. Zahida (COO), and their senior team, began with a presentation on the Haleem family’s historical legacy and their contributions to Islamic publishing, Pakistan’s independence, and the printing industry. The delegation then toured the PIP facility to observe their advanced technology, operations, and environmentally friendly practices. Additionally, they discussed student internships, boot camps, job placements, curriculum integration, and potential collaborations in food technology, packaging, and printing projects. This visit marks a promising step toward strengthening academia-industry ties, emphasizing UCP’s ongoing efforts in fostering practical collaborations.
