UCP signed an MOU with Allah Walay Trust (AWT) to eliminate anemia

UCP has signed an MOU with Allah Walay Trust (AWT) under the auspices of the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) to eliminate anemia among female students. Dr. Hadia Awan, Prorector of UCP and Mr. Shahid Lone Chairman of AWT signed the MOU to launch the campaign. The Chairman PHEC Dr Shahid Munir presided over the ceremony. Besides UCP two public sector universities i.e. Lahore College for Women University and University of Home Economics have been part of this pilot project.

In this campaign, AWT will establish a testing facility in UCP to collect data, organize seminars, distribute awareness literature, and conduct lectures on dietary habits. Additionally, the trust will provide free-of-cost medicines to anemic students. The objective of the MOU is to make UCP the first aaemia-free university in the private sector.
