UCP x Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology MOU

Faculty of Science and Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), Sri Lanka, marking a significant step toward international academic collaboration. The ceremony was graced by prominent academic leaders from both institutions. From UCP, Dr. Hammad Naveed (Pro-Rector), Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar (Dean, FOST), Dr. Muhammad Naveed (Professor, Department of Biotechnology), Dr. Mohsin Gulzar Barq (Faculty Industry Liaison Officer, FOST), and Mr. Sikandar Sethi (Director, International Office) represented the university. From SLIIT, the esteemed delegation included Prof. Nimal Rajapakse (Deputy Vice Chancellor), Dr. Malitha Wijesundara (Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Sciences), and Dr. Jagath Kasturiarachchi (Assistant Professor). This MoU aims to foster collaborative research, joint academic programs, faculty and student exchanges, and the co-development of innovative scientific initiatives. Both institutions expressed strong commitment to promoting global academic partnerships and driving innovation in science, technology, and interdisciplinary education. The ceremony concluded with mutual appreciation for the shared vision of academic excellence and a future roadmap for impactful cooperation between UCP and SLIIT.
