Dr. Irfan Abbas from the Faculty of Languages & Literature and a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow received the Fulbright Outreach Lecturing Fund for the second time. His host institutions included the University of California San Diego and San Diego State University, where he presented his postdoctoral research on Pakistani Sign Language, visited Dr. Karen Emmorey’s Laboratory for Language & Cognitive Neuroscience, delivered a lecture on sign language and deaf inclusion in Pakistan, and conducted a session for faculty and students on Fulbright and postdoctoral opportunities, supporting UCP’s work in sign language and inclusive education.
