Department of Food Science and Technology celebrated World Food Day 2024 on October 23, 2024, with an impactful event to promote food security and innovation in food systems. The day began with an awareness walk, followed by creative competitions featuring, posters, paintings, and models highlighting innovative approaches to tackling hunger. Industry leaders from Carrefour, METRO, McDonald’s, KFC and other companies shared valuable insights through talks and panel discussions on global food security challenges, food wastage and quality assurance. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony capturing moments of creativity and collaboration through photography and videography.
