Department of Food & Nutritional Sciences, in collaboration with UNICEF and the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), celebrated World Food Day 2025 under the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future.” The event brought together government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to discuss food safety, nutrition, and regulatory innovation. Highlights included addresses by Prof. Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik, DG PFA Mr. Muhammad Asim Javed, and Dr. Ijaz Ahmad (DG PCSIR), the launch of ELMS Food Safety Level 1 Training, a policy dialogue on academia-industry collaboration, a World Food Day Walk, a Nutrition Assessment Camp, and student exhibitions of posters and food models. Prof. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Dean FST, delivered closing remarks, emphasizing collective efforts toward a safe, sustainable, and innovative food system.
