B.Sc. Electrical Engineering at UCP is designed to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities required to develop and modify solutions for industrial and societal challenges. The program emphasizes responsible leadership, especially in times of rapid technological change. We provide hands-on experience and cooperative training that prepares students for career opportunities across diverse fields as professional engineers.
At the Department of Electrical Engineering, we are committed to equipping our graduates with the expertise and values necessary to become effective problem solvers in modern industrial environments, thereby leading society towards a sustainable future.
The Faculty of Engineering launched its Electrical Engineering program in Fall 2003 after obtaining initial approval from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Since its inception, the department has produced 18 graduating batches, all of which have been accredited by PEC. Of these, 11 batches received Level-I accreditation, while the seven most recent batches (F14 to F20) have been accredited under the Level-II Outcome-Based Education & Assessment (OBE&A) System. Most recently, in 2025, the department secured Level-II accreditation for the F21 and F22 intake batches as well.
Level-II accreditation ensures that our degree is recognized in Washington Accord signatory countries such as the UK, Canada, Australia, and Malaysia. The high standards we uphold in education and assessment have been acknowledged by PEC.
The Electrical Engineering Department houses 13 standardized laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, spread over three floors within the main building of UCP.
To promote space technology in Pakistan, the Space Research Center (SRC) at UCP was established in 2020 with funding from the Ministry of Planning and Development, Pakistan. SRC-UCP is dedicated to advancing space technology through educational initiatives and focuses on producing high-quality space tech products for students and educators in STEM, engineering, science, and technology.
Our qualified and dedicated faculty members teach Electrical Engineering at both undergraduate and graduate levels with full zeal and commitment. To date, around 1,550 students from 18 batches have graduated from the program, forming a strong and growing alumni network across the globe.
