The Department of Economics addresses pressing need for professionals with expertise in economics for various aspects of development, policy making, implementation, research, and teaching. It offers Bachelors of Science in Economics with specialization either in Finance or Data Analytics to equip students with a multifaceted skill set and knowledge base and empower them to thrive in the digital age, where data is a currency of immense value, and offers opportunities for entrepreneurship and pioneering research in economics and related domains. Graduates are well-prepared for careers across various sectors, from business to government, as they can uncover insights from vast datasets, offering a competitive advantage in the job market.
The MS Program started in Fall 2013, where numerous MS students have successfully completed their degrees. Their theses are submitted for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and their quality is rigorously assessed by experts in their respective fields.

Selection of Specialization
At the end of the fifth semester, students are asked to give their preferences regarding selection of Major and Minor. Specializations are offered based on preferences and available resources.
Scheme of studies is same for the 1 year (1st – 4th Semesters).
