Recognizing the imperatives of increasing globalization that need an understanding of complex interrelationships, profound knowledge of other countries, political systems, and different mentalities, an interest in people and the ability to combine this knowledge with domestic issues and politics, University of Central Punjab (UCP) is introducing an in-depth research-based MPhil (International Relations), two years program from spring 2019. Keeping in line with its traditions, the UCP has hired highly qualified and experienced, including foreign qualified faculty members for the purpose.
M.Phil in International Relations aims to enable students to analyze the complexities and processes involved in world politics and international affairs. Coursework provides exposure to the key subfields of the discipline and relevant issues such as Regional Politics, Globalization, Conflicts, and Strategic Issues facing States. Coursework also includes International Relations Theory, International Security, International Political Economy, International Organization, and Foreign Policy Analysis.
The program does not offer narrow, specialized education in theory and policy making; it is rather designed to broaden students’ intellectual horizons by introducing them to a variety of research-based conceptual perspectives on international relations and to a variety of substantive international issues.
