MS Organizational Psychology

Organizational psychology is the branch of psychology that applies psychological theories and principles to workplace settings with the aim of improving workplace for employees and productivity for employers. It focusses on studying people, groups as well as organizations to align competing needs and create a mutually beneficial relationship between people and organizations.

Workplace dynamics have changed considerable during the 21st century; bringing new challenges and opportunities for employers as well as employees.  Organizational psychologist can help employees as well as organizations deal with the challenges and demands of the everchanging workplace. Organizational psychologists perform a wide variety of tasks, including studying worker attitudes and behavior, employee recruitment, performance appraisal, strategies to increase workplace productivity, organizational development and training etc.

The current program in Organizational Psychology is a two-year program that focuses on providing hand-on training skills to our students so that they can utilize their learning to solve practical problems at workplace. Our MS program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to address the growing emphasis on employee well-being in today’s rapidly evolving industries. As organizations increasingly recognize the critical link between employee satisfaction, mental health, and overall productivity, this program will focus on emerging trends and best practices in workplace psychology. Students will gain expertise in assessing and improving organizational culture, developing strategies for employee engagement, and implementing evidence-based interventions to foster a healthy, supportive work environment.
