Law Clinic

Keeping up with the contemporary standards of legal education, the Law Clinic Program at UCP Faculty of Law bears two-fold responsibility; firstly, to provide pro bono legal services to the underprivileged community members, and secondly, to provide students with a hands-on learning experience. To meet these ends, FoL maintains a proper infrastructure which comprises a Law Clinic office, a Law Clinic Secretary Office and a Conference Room. The UCP Moot Court Room provides state-of-the-art amenities to develop the advocacy skills of the students.

Five-Level Advocacy Skills Courses

To provide its students with hands-on learning experience and to hone their advocacy skills, FoL has made advocacy skills courses a regular feature of its scheme of studies. One advocacy skills course is offered to students per year on a specific area of legal practice/Training. • Level I “Early Bird Moot Court Training” • Level II “Family Court Training” • Level III “Criminal Advocacy Training” • Level IV “Civil Advocacy Training” • Level V “Alternate Dispute Resolution Training”.

Peace and Mediation Center

The Peace Center of the Faculty of Law is established to promote peace education. It intends to address the subject matter through both academic courses and practical application and exploration. The vital part of the goal achievement process at the Peace Center is to conduct research on issues of peace at personal, national and global levels.

International Conference

Faculty of Law held its 4th International Conference on Cybersecurity and Forensic Evidence on April 24-25, 2025, bringing together experts from law, technology, healthcare, and academia to examine how the digital age is reshaping legal responses to cybercrime and digital evidence.

Spanning two days, the conference explored a wide range of topics—cross-border legal issues, gender and privacy rights, scientific techniques in forensics, and the growing influence of AI and digital ethics in the legal domain.

Notable keynote speakers included:

–   Prof. Ahmad Ali Ghouri, University of Sussex, UK

–   Prof. Dr. Hadia Awan, University of Central Punjab, Pakistan

–   Zaid Hamza, National University of Singapore, Singapore

–   Prof. Mohiuddin bin Daud, International Islamic University of Malaysia

–   Dr. Humera Shafi, Chughtai Healthcare, Pakistan

–   Dr. Allah Rakha, University of Health Sciences, Pakistan

–   Matilda Adedoyin Chukwuemeka, Lead City University, Nigeria

They were joined by presenters and legal experts from Pakistan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Indonesia, and the UK.

  4.   Privacy, Data Protection & Surveillance
  5.   Digital Forensics in Criminal Trials

  7.   Ethics, AI & Media in Digital Justice

Each session featured multiple speakers, paper presentations, and Q&A segments, encouraging dialogue between researchers, legal professionals, and students.

In Numbers

–   30+ research papers   presented

–   7 themed sessions   chaired by legal and academic leaders

–   Audience from over 5 countries

The event showcased UCP’s growing role in academic research and international legal discourse, reinforcing its commitment to shaping conversations around digital law and forensic science in South Asia and beyond.

Legislative Theater

Each year, FoL holds a legislative theatre on various social issues that stand in need of legislation. Last year’s legislative theatre was held on 23rd June, under the theme ‘Mata’a ul Talaq’ (post-divorce maintenance). The panel members represented the legal fraternity, legislatures, United Nations and civil society. The story performed in legislative theatre illustrated the miseries of divorced women. The story highlighted the need to have a legal framework for Mata’a ul Talaq through the deliberations of the ‘metabolizing cell’ voted by the audience. The resolution is to be tabled in the legislative assemblies of Pakistan with the help of members of metabolizing cells soon.

Legal Health Camp

Legal Health Camp is part of pro bono services offered by FoL Law Clinic. Practitioners from various legal fields are invited to tender advice to the UCP community. Last year, Legal Health Camp was held on the 13th of April. Twenty Law offices provided legal advice in matters related to Family laws, Civil laws, Taxation laws, Intellectual Property laws, Cyber laws, Labor laws, Property Laws, Consumer laws, Criminal laws, Corporate laws, Revenue laws, and laws related to Guardians and wards.
