The MS Microbiology program at University of Central Punjab is a Two- year program with an aim to equip students with advanced knowledge and technical skills in microbiology, preparing them for impactful contributions in research, diagnostics, and industry, focusing on addressing challenges in healthcare and related fields.
MS Microbiology
The students are expected to complete MS Microbiology in two-year time span with a maximum duration to four-year. Year One is divided into two semesters, with four courses in each semesters (24 Cr. Hrs) and Year Two is dedicated to Research Work (6 Cr. Hrs)
At least 2.00/4.00 CGPA or 50% marks from an annual system in a relevant field |
Candidates are required to pass the UCP Admission Test with a 50% score or the GRE/HAT General/equivalent test with a passing score of 50%, followed by an interview by the Graduate Admission Committee |

To be eligible for the degree of MS/Mphil, the following must be completed by the MS/Mphil:
- 24 Cr. Hrs. coursework (8 courses) maintaining 2.50/4.00 CGPA
- 24 Cr. Hrs. coursework (8 courses) and Six (06) Cr. Hrs. thesis.
- 27 Cr. Hrs. coursework (9 courses) and Three (03) Cr. Hrs. project; or
- 30 Cr. Hrs. coursework (10 courses).
- The minimum & maximum allowable duration, inclusive of semester breaks, to complete the MS/Mphil degree shall be 1.5 & 4 years respectively.
