Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Professor of Chemistry and Director of Research at the University of Central Punjab, was invited as an expert to the STED 2025 Policy Dialogue, organized by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives in Islamabad. He contributed to discussions on Nanotechnology and Climate Change, presenting policy recommendations focused on nanotechnology’s role in addressing Pakistan’s challenges in clean energy, water, climate resilience, and agriculture.
He emphasized the need for a national nanotechnology policy, regional R&D clusters, university-industry collaboration, and civil-military synergies for technology transfer, underscoring UCP’s leadership in research and sustainable innovation.
